As the business owner and senior consultant at Manufacturing Improvement Services, he has specialised in solving complex business improvement problems, driving transformational change, and delivering new products/services through effective remote project management/governance and virtual team leadership across diverse global industries.

Previously, his career included periods with NEC Semiconductors, Kymata, Alcatel Optronics and then several positions with Aggreko, culminating in the role of Head of Manufacturing responsible for all the manufacturing and operational aspects of their global Manufacturing & Technology facilities.
 

Highly experienced in delivering change management, project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile, extensive lean methodologies, and strategy development and implementation.
 

In addition, he also has significant mechanical and electrical engineering experience (process/equipment/facilities), having worked on, designed, developed and introduced multiple engineering products in the Power, Semi-Conductor, and Opto-Electronic manufacturing industries.
 

Jim holds a First-Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland and has also studied at the University of Stuttgart, Germany and at IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
