“We brought in Jim from Manufacturing Improvement Services to drive forward a project on flexible working proposals for our staff across a number of sites and functions.

Working directly with the project steering team, senior management, staff members and union representatives, Jim carried out a series of analysis techniques to determine the current working behavioural patterns and impacts on productivity, staff morale and costs. This was then developed into proposals for changes to the working patterns to be taken to senior management for approval to take forward to the next stage of consultation with the impacted staff. 

Utilising Jim as an additional highly experienced support resource, we were able to move the project quickly to the next stage ensuring that the staff, union reps and management had all been consulted and that detailed analysis to back up the proposals had been carried out.

 “I worked with Jim on the design and construction of a new Global Manufacturing Facility, where I was the Architect.

Jim had full executive and managerial responsibility for the delivery of this prestigious project which was a critical part of the company's growth strategy. While involved in the company's normal production activities he also engaged fully with the Project Team - Architect, Mechanical & Electrical, Civil & Structural Engineers, Cost Consultant, Contractor - from initial meetings through to completion, providing clear direction at all stages. He was instrumental in the formulation of the operational design concept which was the basis of the Production layout and the building design.

Throughout the project Jim was a major influence in achieving the project requirements and was a prominent member of the team, working with each consultant to bring added value to all aspects of the project and to ensure completion on time and on budget.

It was a pleasure to work with Jim in his project leader role but also, importantly, as a valued member of the team and I would welcome the opportunity to work alongside him again on future projects.”
